Position: Lead SAP Functional Consultant (SAP PP-IM-WM)

Designation: SAP SD Consultant

Experience: 10 - 12 Years

Location: Remote

Timings: 2PM - 11PM IST

Job Type: Contractor

Work Mode: Remote

Start Date: ASAP (Immediate Joiners are preferable)

Primary Skills : well versed with SAP Manufacturing, Inventory Management (IM) & WM (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud)

Brief About the Role

The S/4HANA Public Cloud Manufacturing / IM/WM Configuration Lead is responsible for delivering endtoend consulting services for customers implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

This role leads the Manufacturing(PP), Inventory Management(IM), and Warehouse Management(WM) workstreams, conducts fittostandard workshops, configures SAP Best Practices, and ensures successful deployment of SAPs Public Cloud ERP.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes:

Discrete, repetitive, or process manufacturing

Production order management

Shop floor execution

MRP & capacity planning

Backflushing, confirmations, and costing

Strong knowledge of Inventory Management & Warehouse processes:

Goods receipt & issue

Stock transfers & adjustments

Physical inventory

Basic warehouse operations (Public Cloud WM)

Experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud (preferred) or S/4HANA OnPremise Manufacturing/IM/WM

Familiarity with SAP Best Practices and Public Cloud scope items

Technical/Tool Knowledge

SAP Fiori apps for Manufacturing, IM, and WM

SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC)

SAP Activate methodology

Basic understanding of BTP extensions, APIs, and iFlows

Preferred Qualifications

SAP PP/MM/WM or S/4HANA Cloud certification (Public Edition)

Experience with multicountry rollouts

KeyResponsibilities

1. Implementation & Solution Delivery

Lead FittoStandard workshops for Manufacturing, Shop Floor Execution, Inventory Management, and Warehouse processes

Configure S/4HANA Public Cloud scope items such as:

Manufacturing (e.g., 3MF, 3MT, 3M2, 3M3)

Inventory Management (e.g., 1XM, 1XN)

Basic Warehouse Management (Public Cloud WM)

Quality Management integration

Drive configuration using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC)

Support master data setup (materials, BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions)

Execute SIT, UAT, and defect resolution cycles

Lead cutover planning, golive readiness, and hypercare support

2. Customer Engagement & Advisory

Act as the primary functional advisor for Manufacturing, IM, and WM

Guide customers to adopt SAP Best Practices and avoid unnecessary customization

Translate business requirements into standard SAP capabilities

Conduct user training, enablement, and documentation sessions

Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and project sponsors

3. CrossFunctional & Integration Leadership

Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Planning teams

Support integrations with:

SAP BTP

SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM)

SAP EWM (if applicable)

SAP Analytics Cloud

Thirdparty MES, logistics, and scanning systems

Work with technical teams on APIs, iFlows, and extensibility options

4. Governance & Documentation

Prepare functional specifications for inapp and sidebyside extensions

Maintain configuration documentation, process flows, and test scripts

Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology

Support project management with status reporting and risk mitigation

Ability to work independently in a remote/distributed team

Ability to work in agile, fastpaced cloud projects
