Job Description

Were seeking a Lead, Real-World Data & Market Insights / Secondary Market Research SME to lead the design, execution, and translation of insights from syndicated, claims, EHR, and other realworld data (RWD) sources. This role partners with commercial, medical, and strategy teams to answer market-sizing, access, patient journey, provider landscape, and competitive intelligence questions. The ideal candidate blends deep healthcare data fluency (e.g., medical/pharmacy claims, HCPCS/CPT/ICD, DRG/MSDRG, NDC, payer policy) with applied analytics and storytelling that informs decisions.


Duration: 6 months contract + transition to permanent role

Start date: March 2026

Location: Hyderabad, 3 days on site, 2 remote


Key Responsibilities:


Insight Leadership

  • Frame business questions and translate them into testable, data-driven analyses leveraging secondary data.
  • Develop market models (TAM/SAM/SOM), opportunity assessments, and forecasts using historical and scenario-based assumptions.
  • Synthesize insights into clear, executive-ready narratives with recommendations and quantified impact.

Data & Methods

  • Select and evaluate appropriate data sources for the use case (e.g., IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony/Clarivate, Trilliant, Definitive Healthcare, Kythera, PINC AI/Premier, Medicare/Medicaid public files, EHR networks).
  • Build and QA patient cohort definitions; map diagnosis (ICD-10-CM), procedure (CPT/HCPCS), DRG/MS-DRG, NDC to analytic logic.
  • Conduct analyses: epidemiology, patient journey, utilization, switching/persistence, provider segmentation, payer policy impact, geospatial access, competitive share.
  • Apply appropriate methodologies: time-series & scenario forecasting, segmentation/clustering, propensity matching (as relevant), ranking & targeting, sensitivity analyses.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the SME across cross-functional teams (marketing, HEOR/medical, payer/access, sales ops, field enablement).
  • Run workshops to align on definitions/assumptions and ensure transparency in methods and limitations.
  • Present findings to senior leadership; influence strategy and investment decisions.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure HIPAA, de-identification, and data use agreement compliance.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and data lineage; establish reusable analytic playbooks.
  • Partner with procurement and legal on data vendor evaluation and renewals.

Enablement

  • Build standardized dashboards and self-service assets (Power BI/Tableau) for recurring KPIs.
  • Mentor analysts; set best practices for coding standards, QC, and reproducibility.
