About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on QA Lead with a strong product mindset to own and

scale the end-to-end quality assurance function in a fast-growing startup environment . This role requires deep expertise in manual and automation testing, the ability to build QA frameworks, and leadership skills to manage and mentor a small QA team.

You will work closely with the CTO, Product Head, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products at speed.

This role is highly suitable for someone who brings in passion to learn and grow and

is willing to adapt to Restaurant POS domain.

Key Responsibilities

QA Ownership & Strategy

Own the end-to-end QA lifecycle across web and mobile products.

Define, implement, and scale QA strategies, processes, and best practices.

Design, build, and maintain manual and automation QA frameworks.

Identify quality gaps, risks, and loopholes, and proactively suggest resolutions.

Provide release readiness, quality metrics, and risk assessments to leadership.

Hands-on Testing (Manual & Automation)

Actively contribute to manual and automated testing efforts.

Develop, execute, and maintain functional and non-functional test cases.

Perform regression, smoke, sanity, API, performance, load, security, and accessibility testing.

Ensure high-quality UI/UX, pixel-perfect, and mobile app testing.

Support and implement BDD-based testing practices.Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a team of 34 QA engineers.

Review test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports.

Ensure timely delivery of testing activities aligned with release schedules.

Drive continuous improvement in team productivity and quality.

Collaboration & Product Focus

Work closely with CTO, Product Head, Product Managers, and Developers.

Participate in requirement reviews, sprint ceremonies, and release planning.

Conduct root cause analysis and prevent recurring defects.

Act as a quality advocate across the organisation.

Tools & Technologies

Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright

BDD: Cucumber (or similar)

API Testing: Postman, REST clients

Performance Testing: JMeter (or equivalent)

Bug Tracking & Agile Tools: Jira, similar tools

Tech Stack Exposure: JavaScript frameworks, web & mobile platforms

CI/CD (Nice to have): Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar

Required Experience & Skills

10+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing.

Extensive experience with product-based companies or startups.

Strong hands-on experience in Manual + Automation testing.

Proven experience in setting up QA frameworks from scratch.

Experience testing web and mobile applications.

Strong understanding of performance testing techniques.

Ability to work independently and take full ownership of quality.
