Role Details

  • Position: Lead Project Manager PMO GCC
  • Supervisory Role: Yes

1. Purpose of the Role

The role supports the Director and Project Managers by monitoring project execution, providing steering tools, and overseeing governance activities.

The position involves overall coordination of 100150 projects per year across DTD departments and business organizations, communication of project status and gaps (planning, costs), proposal of remediation plans with Project Managers, and setup of KPI reporting .

2. Key Responsibilities

Project Management Activities

  • Conduct project management activities including:
  • Planning
  • Milestone tracking
  • Deliverables management
  • Budget preparation and updates
  • Expenditure monitoring
  • Resource allocation
  • Risk and opportunity analysis
  • Governance
  • Specifications
  • Change management
  • Engage project team members across the assigned project portfolio

Portfolio Governance & Monitoring

  • Develop, maintain, and roll out project tools and governance rules
  • Organize project governance in line with Head of Department and direction governance mandates
  • Ensure alignment and performance of department reviews and steering committees
  • Review and monitor:
  • Budget
  • Timeline
  • Deliverables
  • Risks
  • Change requests
  • Organize, prepare, record, and track actions and decisions from governance committees

Reporting & Communication

  • Update project progress reports, dashboards, and information systems
  • Collect data from project teams and alert Head of Department in case of discrepancies
  • Communicate project status, gaps, and risks

Risk Management

  • Identify, quantify, and propose mitigation plans for critical risks
  • Validate mitigation plans with the Head of Department

Stakeholder Representation

  • Represent the department in direction-level projects
  • Participate in direction meetings, presenting progress and risk perspectives

Project Closure & Knowledge Sharing

  • Ensure documentation at project closure
  • Contribute to communication and celebration of project successes and milestones

4. Requirements

Education

  • Masters degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or IT/Engineering
  • Bachelors degree acceptable with additional experience
