Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain robust enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, modern frameworks, and cloud technologies , with proven experience in delivering scalable solutions and mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Architect and develop high-performance, secure Java applications using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Database Management: Design and optimise relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL ) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra ) databases for reliability and scalability.
• Integration: Implement and consume RESTful APIs , ensuring seamless interoperability with ReactJS front-end and third-party systems.
• Networking & Security: Ensure secure data transfer using SFTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS , and manage certificates and keystores.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (JUnit) , participate in code reviews, and uphold coding standards.
• Performance Optimisation: Profile and tune applications, monitor SLIs/SLOs , and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Front-end, DevOps, QA, Business Stakeholders) in Agile environments .
• Mentoring: Guide and support junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Adhere to organisational policies for security, data protection, and audit readiness .

Essential Skills

• Java (810 yrs): Strong grasp of OOP, collections, concurrency, streams, and clean coding principles, JAVA version 17 and 21.
• Spring / Hibernate (810 yrs): RESTful API development, dependency injection, ORM, transaction management.
• SQL / NoSQL: Advanced knowledge of schema design and query optimisation across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Networking & Protocols: Secure communication protocols and certificate management.
• Testing & Tools: JUnit, Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership: Proven experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
