Lead IT DevOps Engineer - Sciforma

Summary: We are seeking a DevOps engineer to join NXP’s R&D IT organization. In this role, you will support and enhance NXP’s global Sciforma platform—our enterprise resource, project, and portfolio management (RPPM) solution used extensively by engineers, project and program managers worldwide.
You will play a key role in ensuring platform reliability, managing release cycles, performing end‑to‑end testing, and reducing operational issues. This position is ideal for someone who is strong in configuration management, regression testing, data integrity, and proactive issue prevention.

Key Responsibilities
As a core member of the Sciforma DevOps team, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, accuracy, and usability of project, portfolio, and timesheet data across NXP. Your responsibilities include:
Testing & Release Management
• Conduct comprehensive regression testing for new Sciforma releases and patches.
• Identify, document, and report defects; follow up with vendors to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform end‑to‑end testing across workflows, data flows, and integrations.
System Support & Operational Excellence
• Provide advanced support for Sciforma application issues, ensuring timely resolution and high user satisfaction.
• Apply best practices in configuration management across templates, forms, workflows, and user permissions.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and drive long‑term improvements.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive action planning.
• Reduce recurring tickets through automation, improved monitoring, and process standardization.
• Implement structured testing and monitoring frameworks to ensure system stability.
Compliance & Documentation
• Support creation and maintenance of SOX/Subsidy audit artifacts.
• Maintain accurate documentation for testing, configurations, and operational processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with global IT teams, business stakeholders, and Sciforma vendor teams.
• Support enhancements that improve usability for engineers, project managers, and portfolio leads.

Education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with PPM tools, enterprise application support, data analytics, or backend support.
• Hands-on experience with:
o SQL queries
o Configuration management
o Regression and functional testing
• Strong understanding of release management and DevOps-aligned delivery cycles.
• Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Nice to have: Experience with Power BI or other reporting technologies.
