Lead IBM Sterling OMS Developer

We are looking for a seasoned Lead IBM Sterling OMS Developer to drive enterprise-level Order

Management initiatives for our clients Supply Chain Engineering team. This is a leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, architecture exposure, and stakeholder management experience.

You will lead design, development, and modernization initiatives on the IBM Sterling Order

Management System platform supporting large-scale retail and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of solutions in IBM Sterling OMS v10.0
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for OMS implementations
• Drive enhancements, performance optimization, and system scalability
• Review code, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and logistics partners
• Manage requirement analysis, effort estimation, and technical planning
• Support cloud-native deployments in GCP environments (GKE, Compute Engine, Artifact Registry)
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide RCA
• Mentor junior developers and guide offshore/onshore teams
• Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable OMS implementations aligned with enterprise standards

Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• 1015 years of overall IT experience
• 6+ years of strong hands-on experience in IBM Sterling OMS
• Strong expertise in:
• IBM Sterling OMS (Customization, Integration, Configuration, APIs)
• Java (Advanced level, multithreading, performance tuning)
• DB2 / Oracle (query optimization, indexing, performance tuning)
• XML, JSON, XSLT
• GIT version control
• Linux/Unix (Advanced level)
• GCP (GKE, Artifact Registry, Compute Engine)
• Experience in OMS architecture, integrations, and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain / Retail domain
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• IBM Sterling OMS Certification preferred (strongly valued)
