We are scaling our platform and are looking for technical leaders who can guide teams while remaining hands-on.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer who combines strong technical depth with leadership. You will be responsible for guiding technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring successful delivery of complex initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a people-manager-only position.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Own and drive technical design decisions across frontend and backend systems
• Review and approve architecture and design proposals
• Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and secure
• Set and uphold engineering standards and best practices
• Evaluate, guide, and set guardrails for the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve team productivity and code quality.

Delivery & Execution

• Lead the delivery of complex, cross-cutting features and initiatives
• Break down ambiguous product requirements into executable technical plans
• Identify technical risks early and proactively mitigate them
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform health

Team & Mentorship

• Mentor Senior and Associate engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and guidance
• Raise the overall engineering capability of the team
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Partner closely with Product, QA, and Clinical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 710+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives or teams
• Strong expertise in:

1. React.js and frontend architecture

2. Node.js backend systems and API design

3. AWS cloud services (EC2 / ECS / EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)

• Deep understanding of:

1. System design and scalability

2. Data modeling and performance

3. Security and privacy considerations

• Hands-on experience with:

1. CI/CD pipelines

2. Production monitoring and incident response

• Strong decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to mentor and influence without micromanaging
• Drive automation and tooling improvements that reduce cognitive load, improve developer experience, and maintain system correctness.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains
• Experience working with Kubernetes or distributed systems
• Prior experience working closely with compliance or regulatory requirements
