Role Purpose

Zydus is taking the next leap to transform into an AI-enabled and AI-First data driven enterprise. Zydus has embarked on the AI journey to identify the key interventions in each of its business and functional verticals. A core team is being created to manage this multi-year transformation project, consisting of internal and external experts in AI, functional and business leaders.

This person will be the single point of contact (SPOC) from Finance to program-manage the multi-year digital and AI transformation. You will lead the journey of this project and own delivery, governance, and adoption for Finance interventions

You will translate CFO priorities into an executable roadmap, orchestrate cross-functional delivery with IT and business to ensure that the project objectives of Zydus Finance are achieved. This would be a high visibility role, and you will be responsible to ensure the success of the project. It would involve extensive co-ordination and management of functional and cross functional stakeholders expectations.

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

Strategy & roadmap

  • Co-create Finance digital vision and roadmap aligned to enterprise AI strategy
  • Define measurable ROI and success metrics

Finance interventions

  • Engage with key finance leaders within the organization and gain understanding of the current finance architecture and ways of working
  • Understand key pain points, gaps and unmet needs of the Finance function to achieve better efficiency, effectiveness and global best practices
  • Ideate potential use cases of AI, digitalisation and automation across Finance. Shape business cases with quantified value and establish benefits baselines
  • Finalise potential areas of intervention / improvement including the evaluation of solutions and tools available, skills required to implement and maintain the solutions, cost / investment required, prioritization and timelines for implementation etc.
  • As part of the core project team, work closely with the implementation partners to ensure that the management vision is clearly communicated, implementation is meticulously managed and deliverables are achieved as per the desired vision.

Technical evaluation & Project management

  • Structure business problems into clear, outcome-driven use cases with defined scope and measurable benefits
  • Evaluate digital vendors and AI platforms on scalability, security, integration, and commercial viability
  • Running PoCs and validating various digital tools / platforms using real business data and scenarios
  • Drive execution using agile delivery methods with strong governance and value tracking with clear stage gates from ideation to scale up

Change management, future proofing people and processes

  • Contribute to setting up and running the project governance (SteerCo, daily / weekly check-ins etc.)
  • Drive adoption plans, UAT/playbooks, training and role-based SOPs
  • Work with management audit to embed internal controls and auditability in process designs, including regulatory requirements under IndAS, ITGC, etc.


Role Requirements

Educational Qualifications

Chartered Accountant; Certifications relating to project management or finance transformation consulting, if any, would be an added advantage

Experience (Type & Nature)

  • 10-12 years in implementation of finance transformation programs, project management involving finance, with last 3-5 years leading such projects
  • Prior work experience in finance domain with implementation partners such as Capgemini, TCS or consultant with OEM such as SAP designing such solutions
  • Hands-on experience running PoCs/pilots and scaling to stable operations with value tracking and adoption

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of core finance processes in S4H environment (R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, manufacturing & costing, treasury)
  • Working understanding of AI, GenAI, and AI agents, including clarity on where they add value versus traditional automation.
  • Working knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics) and enterprise data flows
  • Familiarity with analytics and BI platforms (Power BI / Tableau) and data-driven KPI design
  • Basic understanding of cloud and digital platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) and platform-based architectures
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 & 5.0.
  • Experience running PoCs and execution using agile delivery methods
  • Good understanding of digital platforms such as RPA, workflow tools, low-code platforms, OCR/IDP, and AI tools
