Role Description

This role is for Senior Software Engineer responsible for Architecting, Design and Developing software applications. The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stake holders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users. Candidate/Applicent should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.

Your key responsibilities

• Hands-on software development preferably with Java/Hadoop/Oracle or similar technologies

• Experience with Microservices, Cloud preferably GCP

• Knowledge of solution design and Architecting

• Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery

• Should be able to contribute towards good software design

• Strong communication with stakeholders

• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner

• Train other team members to bring them up to speed 

• Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner

• Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams

• Should be able to lead scrum teams

• Should be able to manage end to end delivery

Your skills and experience

• Extensive experience with Microservices

• Experience with Spring Boot

• Experience with UI frameworks like Angular or React

• Experience with Spark

• Spring Batch/Core/Boot

• Hibernate

• Xml binding. Parsers and xml schemas/xpath/xslt

• Tuning and Troubleshooting, experience with profiling and monitoring tools

• Knowledge of solution design and architecture including

  • Design Patterns

  • Refactoring

  • Architecture decisions, quality attributes, documentation

• Experience with Messaging and integration, Patterns, REST, SOA

• Experience with build and deployment

  • Maven/Artifactory/Teamcity or Jenkins

• Unix scripting and hands on experience

• Performance engineering , different types of tests,  measurement, monitoring, tools

• Performance tuning and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies

• Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Azure

• Experience with Apache Spark and Scala (preferably greater than version 2.0 )

• Experience with File handling such as Avro/Parquet etc

• Experience with end to end design and delivery of solutions

• RDBMS /Oracle design, development, tuning

Education/ Qualifications

Batchelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer science or relevant field.
