Overview:

In this role, the Lead Engineer (Technical Publications) will be responsible for creating CMMs, Service Bulletins and other technical publications activities related to various Actuation Systems product lines including Power Door Opening System (PDOS), Thrust Reverser Actuation Systems (TRAS), Highlift Flap/Slat Actuation systems, and various electronic controller assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create / revise and review Technical Publications documents and Illustrations (CMMs, SBs, AMMs, SIL, T-Files, CDF, etc.).
  • Liaise with the product design and Manufacturing teams to ensure the maintenance and repair requirements are completely understood to write & illustrate in the manuals.
  • Develop methods and procedures to ensure Technical Publications Documents are in conformance with ATA/S1000D standards.
  • Responsible for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of standards/ procedures to meet the customer requirements.
  • Responsible for project schedule and Quality of publications and contribute to productivity savings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience in Technical Publications
  • Working knowledge of illustration tools (Isodraw), 3DVIA and CATIA is a must require skill for creating and revising the illustrations as Technical Publications standards.
  • Good Knowledge on creating and revising the Technical Publication documents per Simplified Technical English standard ASD-STE 100, iSpec2200, S1000D, ATA100.
  • Hands on experience in Authoring (Framemaker, Arbortext Editor, Microsoft Applications and S1000D Application) will add advantage.
  • Good knowledge on Mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiar with procedures and standards for addressing technical problems pertaining to products/standards.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and good editorial skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hydraulic and electro-mechanical products
  • Must be familiar in writing Repair procedures, Assembly/Disassembly procedures for Aircraft Actuation systems Components.
  • Knowledge of aerospace product compliance, qualification, and certification.
