The role will work closely with firmware, test, manufacturing and sourcing to deliver reliable, costoptimal controller and power boards meeting automotive and appliance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Endtoend hardware design for controller and power PCBs: schematics, component selection, multilayer PCB reviews and DFM/DFX.
  • Select costoptimal semiconductors and passive components (power supplies, signal conditioning, comms transceivers, protection circuitry).
  • Architect and implement power electronics and gatedrive stages, current sensing, protection for motor control (brushed DC, BLDC, PMSM, Induction).
  • Board bringup, lab testing, debugging, fault isolation and hardware troubleshooting; develop validation test benches and test plans.
  • Define and execute EMI/EMC mitigation and validation; ensure compliance to relevant automotive/nonautomotive EMC and safety standards.
  • Integrate and validate microcontroller/DSP platforms; verify peripherals (ADC, PWM, timers) and control interfaces.
  • Design and validate communication interfaces: CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, I2C.
  • Produce BOMs, hardware test reports, supplier specs; drive cost reduction and obsolescence planning.
  • Mentor junior engineers and enforce hardware design best practices.

Preferred candidate profile
