As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex technical systems of varying sizes to new and existing customers and will be part of discovering new technologies within the FinTech industry.
We are now looking for a Lead Data Engineer to strengthen the Corporate Access Platform’s AI COE team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for driving the execution of initiatives across the Capital Access Platform’s AI COE program to help various business operations and process simplification and introduce automation via Artificial Intelligence and drive efficiency and productivity.

With this position we offer
Join the development organization for Capital Access Platform’s AI COE team. The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to build state of the art AI powered solutions to simplify operations & process across CAP products and drive productivity. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be accountable for delivering enhancements and supporting the architecture of the enterprise product as it transitions to new software paradigms.
Your role and responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to develop machine learning projects from inception to deployment. The ideal candidate will bridge technical and business objectives while leading multi-functional teams to deliver high-impact ML solutions.

We Design and implement scalable data infrastructure to support machine learning operations
Oversee data quality, governance, and security protocols across platforms
We lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts
Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to optimize data delivery
Establish best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies
Drive technical decision-making for data architecture and infrastructure
We build and maintain documentation for data systems and processes
Furthermore, you will:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance data capabilities
Lead technical discussions and present solutions to senior management
Optimize data storage and processing costs
Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards
Solve production issues and implement improvements
Develop strategies for data migration and integration
We expect you to have
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Experienced knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modeling
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Extensive experience with Big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem)
Consistent track record of building and maintaining data pipelines and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery)
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools!
Strong background in data governance and security!
Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science.
It would be great if you
- Have experience with MLOps and ML pipeline optimization
- Have experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare)
- Have contributed to open-source projects
- Have experience with real-time streaming technologies
- Are familiar with graph databases and processing
- Have experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
