JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a high impact Lead Data Modeler to spearhead our data architecture and modelling initiatives In this lead role you will design scalable data structures translate complex business requirements into robust technical blueprints and ensure data integrity across our systems You will act as a subject matter expert guiding a team of modelers while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high quality data driven solutions

Key Responsibilities

Design Architecture Lead the design and implementation of conceptual logical and physical data models

Table Design Create and maintain efficient data table schemas defining primary foreign keys and enforcing relational integrity

Technical Leadership Oversee the data modeling lifecycle mentor junior team members and establish data modeling standards and best practices

Cross Functional Collaboration Partner with data engineers architects and business analysts to align data models with organizational goals and analytical needs

Performance Optimization Use advanced analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and optimize data systems for speed scalability and security

Required Skills

Expert SQL Mastery of SQL for complex data manipulation query optimization and database management

Advanced Data Modeling Proven experience with modeling techniques eg Dimensional Kimball 3NF and tools like Erwin Power Designer or ER Studio

Strong Analytics Sharp analytical and problem solving abilities to interpret complex data and translate tactical needs into scalable solutions

Data Warehousing Solid understanding of ETL processes data lakes and modern data warehouse architectures

Cloud Platforms Good understanding working knowledge on AWS Snowflake BigQuery

Experience Typically 8 years in data modeling with at least 3 years in a lead capacity
