Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to develop, construct, and expand contemporary data platforms while guiding a team of data engineers. This position demands significant hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud technologies, and data architecture, as well as the capability to mentor teams and work closely with business stakeholders. Familiarity with Ads and Marketing platform integrations is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platforms
Define and enforce data engineering best practices, standards, and design patterns
Review code, mentor team members, and drive engineering excellence
Own technical decisions related to data modeling, storage, and processing
Data Engineering & Architecture
Design and build batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines
Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data at scale
Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, logging, and alerting
Ensure data consistency, lineage, and governance across systems
Databases & Storage
Hands-on experience working with relational DBMS and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and large-scale data processing
Design and manage data warehouses and data lakes
Optimize storage strategies for analytics and reporting use cases
Cloud & Platform
Architect and implement data solutions on any cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Work with cloud-native data services.
knowledge of Building CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
Ensure security, access control, and compliance best practices
Ads & Marketing Data (Good to Have)
Integrate and manage data pipelines from Ads platforms, including:
Meta (Facebook) Ads
TikTok Ads
Google Campaign Manager (CM360 / GCM)
Google Ads, DV360, or similar platforms
Understand marketing metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, ROAS, and attribution
Build analytics-ready datasets for marketing, growth, and performance teams
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with Product, Analytics, Marketing, and Business teams
Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
Support BI, reporting, and machine learning initiatives with clean, reliable datasets
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
9+ years of relevant experience
Strong programming experience in Python and Fastapi
Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modelling techniques
Ability to write python unit test cases.
Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis preferred)
Strong knowledge of cloud-based data architectures
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing data engineering teams
Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and best practices
Nice to Have
Exposure to machine learning data pipelines
Background in AdTech, MarTech, FinTech, or high-scale platforms
Familiarity with event tracking, attribution models, and API-based data ingestion
Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to lead projects end-to-end in fast-paced environments
Passion for mentoring and growing high-performing teams
