Lead Data Engineer Azure Cloud

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to build and manage a robust data platform on Azure Cloud . The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and leverage cloud technologies for efficient data processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory , Databricks , and Event Hubs .
• Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows for data transformation and storage in Data Lake /Synapse Analytics .
• Create efficient data models and ensure best practices for storage and retrieval.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting for pipeline reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and analysts; document workflows and processes.
• Optimize Azure resources for performance and cost; ensure security and governance compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or similar role.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory , Databricks , Synapse Analytics .
• Proficiency in Python , SQL , Spark .
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT , data modeling, data lakes, and warehousing.
• Familiarity with APIs, streaming data (Kafka/Event Hubs), and batch processing.

Good to Have: Azure Purview, Delta Lake, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/Terraform), Power BI.

Education

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
