Lead Consultant – AWS specialist role

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of AWS infrastructure solutions across various domains (compute, storage, networking, security, serverless, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable AWS architectures.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Guide and lead cloud migration initiatives (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecting workloads).
• Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, and SCPs.
• Use AWS native services such as EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager for architecture and automation.
• Conduct Well-Architected Reviews (WAR) and provide remediation recommendations.
• Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to integrate AWS infrastructure with modern application deployment strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and consultants.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Stay updated with AWS service enhancements and emerging best practices.
