Job Description
Responsibilities
This profile requires strong Oracle DBA & Goldengate administration experience with strong AWS cloud knowledge.
Oracle Database Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (12c/19c).
o Perform regular database maintenance activities: backups (RMAN), restores, space management, DB refresh and performance tuning
o Monitor database performance using OEM, AWR, ASH, and resolve bottlenecks/performance issues proactively.
o Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates as needed.
o Ensure database security, user access, and auditing compliance.
o Regularly review & optimize existing indexes
o Design and implement effective indexing strategies to improve query performance and reduce disk I/O.
o Regularly review and optimize existing indexes for better overall system efficiency.
o Plan and execute database upgrades/migration in coordination with the systems and application teams.
o Collaborate with the security team to ensure that database systems comply with security policies and standards.
o Implement and manage access controls and encryption mechanisms as required.
Oracle Goldengate (OGG):
o Set up, configure, and support Oracle Goldengate for data replication across heterogeneous environments.
o Design and implement Goldengate topologies (unidirectional, bidirectional, etc.).
o Troubleshoot Goldengate replication lag, conflicts, and failures.
o Monitor and maintain replication processes, including Extract, Pump, and Replicat.
Cloud & HA/DR Support:
o Working experience with Oracle databases on AWS cloud platform.
o Configure and manage Data Guard, RAC, or other high-availability solutions.
o Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.
