Job Description

Job Title: Associate Vice President Lead Commercial COE and Contract Management


Reporting Relationship: Head Transformation, Assurance and Compliance (Finance)


Purpose: This role will report to the Head Transformation, Assurance and Compliance and will lead the Commercial Centre of Excellence and Contract Management. The role will assist in developing a robust procurement assurance system to ensure adherence to procurement processes.The role is also responsible for leading the coordination on greenlighting initiatives in close collaboration with Commercial and Business Finance teams. Additionally, the position will establish systems and monitoring mechanisms to track compliance with contractual commercial terms, identify deviations, and ensure timely escalation and resolution.

Education:M Com, MBA Finance (preferably LLB) | Location: Mumbai

Business/ Channel/ Function: Finance and Accounts

Experience: 12 to 14 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of all procurement processes for content as well as non-content, review of open PRs/POs, TATs, Exception Management, system issues resolutions, scheduling production audits (Digital, Set, Spikes).
  • Ensure readiness for and successful completion of, internal audits, SPE and SOX audits by strengthening key controls, maintaining audit trails, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and driving timely closure of audit observations.
  • Design, develop, and implement a robust procurement assurance framework, including preparation and periodic review of standard operating procedures (SOPs), process guidelines, and control documentation to ensure strict adherence to approved procurement policies and delegated authority matrices.
  • Provide cost inputs for greenlighting initiatives in close collaboration with Commercial and Business Finance teams.
  • Implement structured systems and control mechanisms to proactively monitor adherence to contractual commercial terms, including pricing, payment milestones, revenue share arrangements, deliverables, performance obligations, and timelines.
  • Ensure periodic reconciliations between contractual commitments and actual execution, identify financial or operational deviations, quantify potential impact, and trigger corrective actions. Define escalation protocols, coordinate with Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Business teams for timely resolution of exceptions, and maintain proper documentation and audit trails to support governance, transparency, and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective trackers, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor procurement activities, contract approvals, exceptions, and compliance status, and to provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.



Other responsibilities:

  • Ensuring efficient operation of the team maintain and improving TAT, overall cost of operations, adoption of best practices and driving automation.
  • Awareness of tech architecture, ensuring single source of truth, adequacy of data capture which enables strong data analytics.
  • Establish and improve SOPs, policy documentation and checklists.
  • Team management -assessing current and expected skill requirements, building capability through training programs, monitoring deliverables and achievement against targets, regular interaction with team members and stakeholders.
