Lead Backend Engineer (Java)

We are looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer (Java) to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive best practices across backend architecture and development.

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-availability backend services.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and modern frameworks.
• Guide and mentor backend engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security standards.
• Drive best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and system design.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis.

• 4+ years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Java .
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework .
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes , and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to system design for large-scale applications.
• Prior experience in a tech lead or mentoring role.
