Lead Automation Engineer (PLC/HMI/SCADA)

Job Description:

AXON Control Engineering (subsidiary of Giza global Solutions) is hiring a highly experienced Lead Automation Engineer to provide real-time remote support and offline automation development for our clients.

This role combines online troubleshooting, PLC/HMI/SCADA development, Electrical design, system upgrades, and deployment support for SPM, OEM, and process machines

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu (Preferred)

Shift: Approx. 12:00 PM 9:00/10:00 PM IST, 9 hours

Experience: 1015 Years (Minimum 10+ years mandatory)

Mode: Hybrid

Responsibilities

1. Provide real-time remote troubleshooting for machines operating at customer sites.
2. Diagnose PLC, HMI, drive, servo, and communication-related issues.
3. Analyse machine breakdowns and resolve faults during live sessions.
4. Guide onsite technicians step-by-step during fault resolution.
5. Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent corrective actions.
6. Minimize machine downtime through quick and structured problem-solving.
7. Develop and modify PLC control logics.
8. Update and create new HMI screens and user interfaces.
9. Develop and configure SCADA systems.
10. Implement machine logic improvements and performance enhancements.

Requirements

1. Diploma of Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Mechatronics and related field.
2. Mandatory Proficiency in multi-PLC programming and experience in designing complex control algorithms. PLC: Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta etc.
3. Hands on Experience in Simatic Manager, TIA portal, Studiologic 5000, SysmacStudio, GxWorks2, IPsoft
4. Minimum 10+ years of experience in SPM (Special purpose Machine), OEM Machinery and Process automation systems.
5. Strong proficiency in HMI and SCADA programming and integration.
6. Familiarity with different sensors, actuators, and instrumentation used in industrial automation
7. Understanding and configuration of various communication protocols used in industrial automation (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, CAN etc.).
8. Proficiency with electrical design principles and experience using software like AutoCAD Electric and EPLAN.
9. Strong understanding of electrical control panels and schematics.
10. Desired/Preferred good English communication
11. Valid passport and Openness to travel to customer locations within and outside India
