About the Team and the Role:

The AtherStack Quality team at Ather is responsible for ensuring the quality of our intelligent vehicle software systems through rigorous quality assurance and process frameworks.

This role is for a Lead ASQ - Firmware, who will lead a high-performing team of Quality Engineers, ensuring that quality considerations and safety standards are integrated into the foundation of every software feature and release.

Responsibilities:

— Carry out end to end design reviews of new features and algorithms for the firmware

platform

— Drive the team to ensure robust code review and impact analysis closure

Come up with innovative processes which enables to better firmware quality

— Setup unified quality metrics to understand overall Firmware performance

— Validate and guide the team to do robust root cause analysis of the issues found during

dev and production

— Ensure code architecture meets the agreed safety standards

— Conduct periodic reviews to ensure bug resolution happens on time

— Take effective and data driven decisions on day to day development

— Signoff on the release or changes with proper risk assessment

— Come up with strong end to end firmware flow test framework

— Come up with ideas and setup effective test automation closely working with validation team

— Actively participate in architecture reviews, feature reviews, change impact analysis and

code reviews

— Work with testing and dev team to come up with strong DVP for each release

— Proactively connect all Firmware dependencies together and monitor them to

closure

Experience and Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech degree in Computer Science/IT.

•  7-10 years experience in software quality/firmware quality

Must Have Competencies:

• Expert level Knowledge, implementation and audit experience in any of the quality frameworks like ASPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262.

• Performing Gap Analysis and driving the quality standard implementation across the organisation.
  
  

• Proficiency in the 8D problem-solving methodology, with an emphasis on defining and implementing preventive actions.

• Lead the implementation of FMEA, Failure Mode Avoidance, and 8D Root Cause Analysis to proactively mitigate risks.
  

  
  Good to have Competencies:

• Functional understanding of cloud infrastructure and its role in software quality monitoring.
  
  

• Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems and cross-platform quality validation.

• Architect advanced metrics and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into software quality and system health.
