Lead - Artificial Intelligence

Role Overview

Bajaj Broking is looking for a Lead - Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead the strategic adoption and deployment of AI across the organization. The role will be responsible for building and scaling AI capabilities that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and drive data-led decision-making across the broking and wealth management ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in AI/ML technologies with strong business acumen, enabling the organization to unlock value through intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and generative AI.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Vision

• Define and drive the enterprise AI strategy aligned with Bajaj Brokings digital and business transformation agenda.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases across trading platforms, customer engagement, wealth advisory, risk management, compliance, and operations.
• Build a multi-year roadmap for AI adoption, focusing on scalable and responsible AI deployment.
• Partner with business leaders to embed AI into core products and services.

AI Product Development & Innovation

• Lead the design and development of AI-powered products and platforms, including:
• Smart trading insights
• AI-powered investment recommendations
• Customer personalization engines
• Fraud detection and risk analytics
• Intelligent automation across operations
• Drive adoption of Agentic AI, Generative AI, NLP, predictive analytics, and machine learning solutions.
• Establish a center of excellence (CoE) for AI innovation within the organization.

Data & Technology Leadership

• Oversee the development of robust AI/ML pipelines and scalable model deployment frameworks.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure the availability of high-quality, structured/unstructured, and real-time data.
• Evaluate and implement LLMs, SLMs, tools, and relevant solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of AI models and solutions into existing trading, CRM, and digital platforms.

Governance, Risk & Responsible AI

• Implement AI governance frameworks, ensuring transparency, explainability, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards relevant to financial markets.
• Establish frameworks for ethical AI, model monitoring, and bias mitigation.

Team Building & Capability Development

• Build and lead a high-performing team of AI engineers, data scientists, and machine learning specialists.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and data-driven thinking.
• Upskill teams across the organization on AI awareness and adoption.

Stakeholder & Business Collaboration

• Collaborate with leadership across technology, product, marketing, trading, and risk teams to drive AI initiatives.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into clear business value propositions.
• Whenever required partner with external technology providers, fintechs, and AI research communities to stay at the forefront of innovation.

Key Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
• PhD in AI/ML or Data Science is preferred.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or advanced analytics.
• At least 2 years in leadership roles managing AI or data science teams.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, capital markets, or trading platforms preferred.

Technical Expertise

Strong expertise in:

• Machine Learning and Deep Learning
• Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Generative AI and LLM applications
• Predictive analytics and recommendation systems
• MLOps and model lifecycle management
• AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Data platforms including Spark, Hadoop, and modern data lakes
