Lead Analog Design Engineer – Isolation & Motor Drivers

Overview:

BSM product line is part of Motor Drive products group developing best in class products for Automotive and Industrial applications. BSM products are a key focus area for R&D and product development for TI.

Best in class power density, Precision Signal processing and Intelligent Control are core areas of research and product development for the team. The key challenges for product development that the team works on are:

• Innovative architecture & circuit techniques to achieve high efficiency power transfer
• PMIC Regulators, Charge Pump, Switching Drivers, Battery management
• Precision analog Signal chain solutions for accurate control
• ADC, DAC, Current Sensing, Bandgap References, Comparators
• Protection circuits for smart diagnostics and safety of device.
• Thermal Management, Over voltage/Current monitors, Load monitors
• Intelligent Algorithm development for integrated motors and solenoids motion control
• PWM/PFM Controllers,
• Rugged & robust designs meeting stringent Safety, ESD, Latch-up & Emissions spec.
• Driving process/technology/package development for cost and performance optimization.

The following positions are available in this group to work on the Isolation family of products.

Experience :

5+ years of Analog circuits & architecture design

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in EE

Basic Job Qualifications:

• Strong Electrical engineering fundamentals & basic analog building blocks.
• Experience in design of Analog & Power Management Circuits.
• Experience in leading full block/chip activity like circuit block spec definition, top-level simulations, driving design verification and design for test.
• Good mentoring, communication, presentation skills and team work.

Preferred qualification:

• Experience in defining circuit architecture for PMIC, Signal Chain &/or Analog Circuits.
• Ability to execute complex analog, power & mixed signal designs from concept to Tape out.
• Experience in silicon debug and characterization.

Primary responsibilities:

• Developing circuit architecture for the chip starting from datasheet/system specifications.
• Developing chip schematics and engaging in design and verification.
• Developing individual block design specification based on full chip circuit architecture.
• Ownership of design & layout activities including technical mentoring and schedule planning and tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define & model components, automation.
• Silicon Debug, assisting in characterization and qual support.
