Position Overview:

Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is seeking an Lead AI Solution Architect – Digital Aviation Solutions with a minimum of 14 years of experience in AI/ML, including 5+ years in an architectural role. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI solutions that enhance aviation operations and customer experiences, driving digital transformation in aviation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead design and technical direction, establishing AI/ML solutions and fostering a culture of innovation.

• Architect and build the AI Factory—a centralized repository of reusable models, GenAI prompts, agents, pipelines, APIs, and accelerators.

• Design and implement robust, scalable AI solutions and platforms to support multi-step reasoning and traditional ML workloads.

• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including LLMs, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.

• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and data scientists to deliver AI-first solutions that align with business strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

AI/ML Platform Architecture

• Design scalable, cloud-native solutions using platforms like Dataiku, SageMaker, Databricks, and services from AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Integrate traditional ML, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based systems into digital aviation solutions.

• Ensure ethical and responsible AI implementation by establishing governance frameworks.

Engineering & MLOps/LLMOps

• Architect CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Implement observability and monitoring solutions, including model drift and versioning.

Cross-Team Enablement

• Serve as a technical advisor to teams across aviation, including data scientists and AI engineers.

• Create and maintain reusable SDKs, onboarding kits, and architecture templates to drive adoption.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION .

• 14+ years in AI/ML with 5+ years in an architectural role.

• Proven experience in developing and scaling AI/ML solutions and platforms from zero to production.

• Expert level proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.

• Strong expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Databricks.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Strong leadership and mentorship experience across multi-disciplinary teams.

• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable, business-aligned solutions.

• Experience with AI-driven geospatial analysis and working with aviation-specific datasets is a plus.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 14+ years of relevant work experience. Master's degree with 13+ years' experience
