Lead AI/ML Engineer
Purpose
To lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions using NLP, NLU, LLM, and Generative AI technologies, while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and ensuring scalable, production-ready AI systems.
Responsibilities & Authorities
Lead architecture and development of advanced AI/ML solutions
Define and implement end-to-end AI pipelines (data → model → deployment → monitoring)
Establish AI engineering standards, best practices, and governance
Mentor AI/ML engineers and enforce code quality and technical excellence
Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into AI solutions
Optimize models for performance, scalability, and production reliability
Evaluate and adopt new AI tools, frameworks, and technologies
Own delivery timelines, risk management, and quality standards
Communicate technical trade-offs and solutions to stakeholders
Authority over technical design, model approach, and AI architecture decisions
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS/IT/Data Science or related field
6+ years of AI/ML experience with production deployments
Strong expertise in Python, OOP, FastAPI, Prompt Engineering
Hands-on experience with NLP, NLU, LLMs, and Generative AI
Experience with Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD, and MLOps practices
Experience leading AI/ML engineering teams
AWS AI/ML services experience preferred
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Vector Databases / RAG - Vector DB (Anyone) , Embeddings , Hybrid search (semantic + keyword) , Chunking, context window optimization ,Metadata filtering, Hybrid pipelines
LLMs / GenAI - Prompt engineering , Fine-tuning, LoRA, PEFT , Guardrails , Context window.
Infrastructure - AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, SageMaker) , Docker , CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) , Model serving (FastAPI), Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager) , GPU acceleration (CUDA)
Experience working in Agile environments
Location: Chennai, Noida, Navi Mumbai, Gurgaon, Indore & Mohali
Work Mode: Hybrid
