Think intelligent automation that handles real business tasksfrom customer support to hiring to learning and development to calls to document processing to complex decision-making. We also partner with early-stage startups as a venture builder, helping them ship AI-native products from 0 to 1.

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Lead AI Engineer to lead our AI development team. You can work from Bengaluru or Mumbai. Till today our AI team has been upskilled internally from BE, FE and Mobile engineers. These upskilled engineers have built all our solutions organically. We are now in a phase where we require an external expert perspective on our tools and to take if forward with us. This role is focused on designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI agents and workflows. You'll architect scalable AI solutions, establish engineering best practices, mentor the team, and work closely with leadership, business, product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality AI systems. The right candidate will drive technical excellence, optimize accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and ensure our AI solutions create real business impact.

Must Haves

• 5+ years in AI/ML engineering with 2+ years in a lead/senior role, mentoring teams and setting technical standards
• Expert-level experience building production AI systems with LLMs (Gemini, GPT, Gemma, Llama, Mistral & Deepseek)
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks - PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and orchestration patterns - Google ADK, LangGraph and Langchain
• Hands-on experience training models - Bert, DistilBert and mDeberta.
• Deep understanding of RAG systems, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval strategies
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI systems in production with focus on latency, reliability, and cost optimization - Langfuse & Graphana
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Comfortable shipping fast while maintaining high quality in dynamic environments

Nice To Haves

• SLM Finetuning experience - Gemma 3 or LLama.
• Knowledge of multi-agent systems and tool/function calling architectures
• Experience in BFSI, healthcare, or enterprise domains
• Understanding of AI safety, guardrails, data privacy and responsible AI practices
• Experience in deploying models
