Lead Admissions Counselor

Hiring for a client: A dynamic international studies and global mobility firm working closely with European public universities. The firm supports academically eligible students through a structured, compliance-driven admissions process, with a strong focus on transparency, documentation quality, and long-term student outcomes.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, Kerala. The role is a hybrid of student counseling and admissions administration, and a stepping stone to management and leadership positions. You will be responsible for screening and guiding students, coordinating documentation and application workflows, and ensuring submissions meet institutional and visa requirements. The position involves frequent interaction with students and parents and requires high attention to detail, process discipline, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Handle inbound inquiries (calls, WhatsApp, email, walk-ins)

Conduct eligibility assessments against university criteria

Map student backgrounds to best-fit programs across universities

Manage document collection, organization, and filing for all student applications

Guide students through document preparation (apostille, SOP, MOI certificates)

Coordinate with partners for application submission and tracking

Maintain student pipeline in CRM; update status at each stage

Follow up with leads at defined intervals (Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14)

Conduct or assist with webinars, college events, and parent counseling sessions

Maintain master tracker of all applications, payments, and deadlines

Requirements

3+ years in study-abroad counseling

Strong knowledge of international education systems (European preferred)

Excellent communication in English and Malayalam; Hindi is a plus

Comfortable with CRM tools, WhatsApp Business, Google Workspace

Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

Must be willing to work from office in Palarivattom, Kochi.

Nice-to-have:

Personal study-abroad experience

Existing network in engineering colleges in Kerala/South India

Familiarity with visa processes for Schengen/EU countries
