In this role, you will develop scalable, event-driven, and high-performance serverless solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient cloud-native applications. Exposure to ML or data-engineeringfocused Lambda pipelines is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Serverless Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
- Implement and manage Lambda triggers (API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, DynamoDB Streams, Step Functions, etc.).
- Build scalable backend services using Python and/or Node.js.
API & Integration Layer
- Design and implement RESTful APIs using Amazon API Gateway.
- Develop and manage GraphQL APIs using AWS AppSync.
- Integrate Lambda functions with internal and external systems.
Workflow Orchestration

- Configure CloudWatch logs, metrics, alarms, and tracing for observability.
- Implement robust error handling, retries, and dead-letter queues (DLQs).
Performance & Optimization
- Perform advanced performance tuning for Lambda functions, including memory, timeout, and concurrency optimization.
- Optimize cold start performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
Data & ML Pipelines (Plus)
- Build Lambda-based data processing pipelines for analytics or ML workflows.
- Integrate with data stores, streaming platforms, and ML services.
Collaboration & SDLC
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, DevOps, and product teams.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.

- Strong experience with Amazon API Gateway (REST and HTTP APIs).
- Solid understanding of serverless architecture principles and best practices.
AWS Services & Tooling
- Hands-on experience with:
- IAM (roles, policies, security best practices)
- CloudWatch (logs, metrics, alarms, tracing)
- Step Functions (standard and express workflows)
- AppSync / GraphQL
- Good understanding of additional AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, etc.).
Performance & Reliability
- Experience with advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting Lambda workloads.
- Strong error-handling, retry, and resiliency design skills.
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills
- Experience building ML or data-engineeringfocused Lambda pipelines.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps automation.
Soft Skills
