Lab Technician - Mircobiology

 Microbiology:

Ø  Various routine & special staining procedures .

Ø  All test procedures as per request and according to SOPs e.g. Manual , automated

Ø  Outsourcing of samples as per requirement

Ø   Informing the results to concerned doctor

Ø  Entry and dispatch of reports

Ø  Handling of the equipment  as per the training

Ø  Documentation

 Quality Control:

Ø  Performing the quality control related procedures

Ø  Maintaining EQAS and ILC as per SOPs

Ø  Immediate action whenever any deviation is found during the process

Ø  Documentation

Hospital Infection Control

Ø  Regular surveillance activities in co-ordination with infection control nurse

Ø  Documentation

Others:

Ø  Involvement as per designated role in accreditation activities

Ø  Participation on regular training programs

Ø  Work in different shifts of 8 hours 30 minutes.

Ø  Extended hours may be required

Ø  Expected to be on call in case there is any emergency related to microbiology at night

Ø  Standing continuously for 2-3 hours .

Ø  Must have good analytical skills

Ø  Excellent time management skills

Ø  Accurate documentation skills

Ø  Excellent team work

Ø  Organized with ability to Multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Ø  Understand , read and write instructions in English

Ø  Should know basic e-mail writing and to use basic excel and word documents.

Ø  Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person

Ø  Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
