Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Engineer with strong Portworx experience to serve as a technical lead and trusted advisor for enterprise customers. In this role, you will help design, deploy, and optimize cloud native storage solutions that support business critical workloads running in Kubernetes environments.
You will work closely with customer engineering teams along with Pure Storage and Portworx architects to ensure successful implementation, operation, and ongoing optimization of Portworx Enterprise.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor for customers deploying Portworx Enterprise in Kubernetes environments
- Collaborate with Portworx and Pure Storage architects to design and deliver tailored cloud native storage solutions
- Lead workshops and technical discussions covering storage workflows, backup strategies, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance optimization
- Deploy and manage Portworx Enterprise across Kubernetes platforms including AKS, OpenShift, and OpenStack
- Configure and integrate storage services such as Azure Managed Disks, Azure Blob Storage, and Pure Storage FlashArray
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tooling
- Act as the primary technical contact for troubleshooting, support cases, and requests for enhancement while coordinating with Portworx support and engineering teams
- Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycle activities including deployments, scaling, upgrades, and compatibility validation with Portworx releases
- Implement Kubernetes security controls including RBAC, encryption, and network policies
- Partner with account management and customer success teams to support customer initiatives and identify opportunities to expand Portworx usage
- Identify opportunities to automate operational workflows through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Contribute to internal documentation including runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience working with enterprise storage, Kubernetes, and cloud native architectures
- Strong hands on experience with Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, OpenShift, or OpenStack
- Experience implementing container native storage platforms such as Portworx
- Strong understanding of distributed storage concepts, high availability, and disaster recovery in containerized environments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor
- Strong troubleshooting experience across Kubernetes, Linux, and container platforms
- Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience writing clear technical documentation including runbooks and operational guides
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills when working with enterprise engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments, particularly in financial services or research organizations
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC and compliance frameworks
- Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or Portworx certification
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation for Kubernetes environments and storage platforms
