Company Description

The Bare Bar is a Bangalore-based natural skincare brand, manufactured in-house through Clean Beauty Private Limited - our contract manufacturing arm that develops and produces skincare and personal care products for private label and B2B clients.


Role Description:

The Key Account Manager will act as the central point of contact for B2B manufacturing clients, managing end-to-end coordination from sampling and costing to production and final dispatch. The role requires strong ownership of timelines, cross-functional coordination, and commercial tracking.


Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Data Ownership

  • Understand and interpret client target pricing and margin expectations
  • Coordinate costing breakdown across RM, PM, labor, overheads and margin components
  • Work closely with finance and procurement to align costing sheets before client submission
  • Maintain structured Excel trackers for costing, MOQs, packaging development timelines, and order status
  • Monitor material consumption vs BOM and highlight commercial variances
  • Ensure commercial approvals before bulk production planning

Client Ownership & Communication

  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned clients
  • Manage communication related to NPD, sampling, production, packaging, costing, and dispatch timelines
  • Provide structured updates and ensure client approvals at each milestone

NPD & Sampling Coordination

  • Coordinate with R&D for sample development and revisions
  • Track sample timelines and communicate feedback effectively
  • Ensure alignment before production freeze

Internal Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with R&D, Production, QA, Procurement, Finance and Logistics
  • Monitor execution timelines and escalate bottlenecks
  • Ensure packaging materials, labels, and compliance documents are aligned before bulk production

Documentation Management

  • Coordinate quotations, costing sheets, and order confirmations
  • Ensure artwork approvals and regulatory documentation are in place
  • Track payment terms and dispatch clearance in coordination with finance

Production & Dispatch Oversight

  • Monitor production status and proactively update clients
  • Ensure dispatch timelines are met
  • Coordinate documentation required for shipment (domestic/export as applicable)

Post-Delivery & Relationship Management

  • Collect feedback post-delivery
  • Address and resolve quality/service concerns
  • Maintain detailed client dashboards and trackers


Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Cosmetics Technology, or related field
  • 37 years of experience in client servicing / key account management within cosmetics or personal care manufacturing
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (costing sheets, trackers, basic formulas, data reconciliation)
  • Ability to interpret BOM structures and cost breakdowns
  • Commercial awareness and margin sensitivity
  • Strong exposure to private label / contract manufacturing lifecycle
  • Understanding of cosmetic compliance (GMP, labeling norms, regulatory documentation) preferred
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (Peenya)
