About the Role

We are hiring Kafka Administrators (L2/L3) to manage, monitor, and support enterprise Kafka clusters. The role involves troubleshooting, performance tuning, automation, and ensuring high availability of Kafka environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Apache Kafka clusters
• Monitor brokers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups
• Troubleshoot performance, latency, and consumer lag issues
• Implement security (SASL/SSL, ACLs) and perform Kafka upgrades
• Automate workflows using Shell/Python/Ansible
• Provide 24/7 production support and incident management

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA

Required Skills

L2 Level

• Strong knowledge of Kafka basics and cluster operations
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog)
• Linux administration & scripting skills

L3 Level

• Deep understanding of Kafka internals & distributed systems
• Experience in cluster design, tuning, and scaling
• Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and automation skills
• Knowledge of Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker (preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Confluent Platform
• Cloud Kafka (AWS MSK/Azure Event Hubs/GCP Pub/Sub)
• DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
