Junior Robotics Engineer

About the Job:

We are looking for a passionate and motivatedJunior Robotics Engineerto join our core engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware and software. You will be responsible for designing electronic circuits for robotic platforms and programming them using the Robot Operating System (ROS) on Ubuntu/Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Circuit Design:Design, simulate, and test analog/digital electronic circuits for robotic sensors and actuators.
• System Integration:Work with single-board computers (specificallyRaspberry Pi) and microcontrollers to integrate sensors and motors.
• Robotics Software:Develop and deploy software modules using theRobot Operating System (ROS)for robot control and navigation.
• Linux Environment:Manage and operate robotic systems usingUbuntuas the primary OS, including basic shell scripting and package management.
• Testing & Troubleshooting:Assemble prototypes, troubleshoot hardware-software interfacing issues, and validate system performance.
• Documentation:Document circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and software code for future development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.

1-2 years of experience in Robotics.

Circuit Design (Hands-on):

• Experience designing PCBs (using tools like Eagle, KiCad, or Altium).
• Ability to read datasheets and select appropriate components.
• Understanding of motor drivers, power management, and sensor interfacing.

Programming & OS:

• Strong working knowledge ofUbuntu/Linux(command line, bash scripts).
• Practical experience withRaspberry Pi(GPIO, camera module, I2C/SPI communication).
• Foundational knowledge ofROS (Robot Operating System) topics, services, and basic nodes.

Robotics:

• Understanding of kinematics, control systems, or sensor fusion.
• Experience working with physical hardware (wheels, arms, or sensors).

Good to have

• Experience withAI/ML frameworks(TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch) for embedded systems.
• Experience withImage Processing(OpenCV) for object detection or lane following.
• Familiarity with C++ (in addition to Python).
• Experience with 3D printing or CAD software.
