Junior Onboarding Engineer (SaaS Implementation)

About the Role

RunLoyal is a fast-growing vertical SaaS company transforming the pet care industry. We are looking for a Junior Onboarding Engineer to support customer onboarding and implementation efforts.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and interacting with customers . Youll work closely with senior onboarding leads, product, and engineering teams to ensure customers are set up successfully and confidently on the RunLoyal platform.

• Support customer onboarding and implementation activities under the guidance of senior onboarding leads
• Assist with customer data setup, validation, and migration using structured templates and defined processes
• Perform basic to intermediate SQL queries to validate data, identify issues, and support troubleshooting
• Use Advanced Excel for data preparation, reconciliation, and reporting (formulas, pivots, lookups, validations)
• Coordinate directly with customers through email, calls, and onboarding sessions with clear and professional communication
• Document onboarding steps, data issues, and resolutions to improve internal processes
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve onboarding-related issues
• Support multiple onboarding projects while meeting timelines and quality expectations
• Be available for limited overlap with U.S. business hours to support global customers

• 0 to 2 years of experience in SaaS onboarding, implementation, data operations, or a technical support role
• Strong Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF logic, Pivot Tables, data validation, conditional formatting)
• Working knowledge of SQL (SELECTs, WHERE clauses, joins, basic aggregations)
• Ability to understand structured data formats and follow ETL/ELT workflows
• Good communication skills with confidence in customer-facing interactions
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical systems
• Ability to follow defined processes while also identifying improvement opportunities
• Working understanding of CSV files, data imports, and data transformation concepts .
• Basic familiarity with Python for simple scripting related to data transformation or scraping.

• Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts or data migration projects
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python or Shell is a plus, not mandatory)
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, APIs, or cloud-based systems
• Experience working with US-based customers or global clients
• Exposure to mobile app deployment processes , white-label apps, or Firebase-based setups is a plus.
