Junior MERN Stack Developer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Junior MERN Developer. In this position, the developer will work on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js). Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and debugging applications, collaborating with team members to implement user-friendly interfaces, and ensuring the scalability and performance of the software. The role includes learning and adopting best practices and modern methodologies in development.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MERN stack development, including both front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js, Express.js) technologies
• Experience with MongoDB and knowledge of database design and integration
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, ES6+, and related front-end technologies
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Basic understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and fix software issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
