Role Overview
The Junior Merchandiser will support end-to-end merchandising operations from sampling to production coordination, vendor follow-ups, inventory tracking, and drop execution. This role requires someone detail-oriented, proactive, and streetwear-culture aware.
You will work closely with design, production, to ensure smooth execution of collections and drops.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Sampling
Coordinate with vendors for sampling & proto development
Track sample timelines and approvals
Maintain sample records & measurement sheets
Assist in fit sessions and quality checks
2. Vendor Management
Follow up with factories for production timelines
Negotiate basic costing under supervision
Ensure raw material sourcing aligns with approved BOM
Maintain vendor database & costing sheets
3. Production Coordination
Track production status (WIP reports)
Ensure timely dispatch and inwarding
Coordinate for quality checks before bulk dispatch
4. Inventory & Planning (D2C Focus)
Assist in demand planning for drops
Monitor stock levels across website & warehouse
Maintain sell-through reports
Identify fast-moving and slow-moving SKUs
5. Data & Reporting
Maintain SKU sheets & tech packs
Update costing sheets
Prepare weekly production & stock reports
Assist in margin analysis
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time sample approvals
Production adherence to timeline
Costing accuracy
Inventory mismatch reduction
Drop readiness before launch date
Skills Required
Basic knowledge of garment construction
Understanding of fabrics, trims & streetwear silhouettes
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
Vendor coordination ability
Attention to detail
Time management & follow-up discipline
Preferred Qualifications
02 years experience in fashion merchandising (D2C preferred)
Degree/Diploma in Fashion / Apparel Merchandising
Bangalore-based candidates preferred
Soft Skills (Very Important for Bene Kleed)
