Job Summary:

The Junior Merchandiser will oversee the entire garment production process, from initial sample development to final shipment. This role requires a strong understanding of garment manufacturing, excellent communication,

and organizational skills. The Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality garments within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sample Development & Costing

• Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure samples

meet specifications.

- Finalize garment costs by considering fabric, trims, labor, and overhead expenses, and obtain necessary approvals.

2. Production Planning & Execution

- Develop and manage production schedules, coordinating with production teams to ensure deadlines are met.

- Monitor production progress and proactively address potential delays.

3. Job Work Management

- Oversee job work placements, ensuring quality control and timely completion of outsourced processes.

4. Cost Control & Analysis

- Maintain detailed costing records, track expenses, and analyze cost variances.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimization within production.

5. Sales Tracking & Inventory Management

- Track daily sales data and provide regular reports on sales performance.

- Oversee inventory levels of fabrics, trims, and finished goods.

- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

6. Shipping & Dispatch

- Ensure timely shipment and manage dispatch of finished goods.

- Coordinate with logistics teams for efficient delivery.

7. Quality Control

- Monitor quality throughout the production process to ensure garments meet required standards.

- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to maintain high-quality production.

8. Communication & Documentation

- Communicate with suppliers, production teams, and internal departments for seamless execution.

- Oversee documentation, payments, and shipping arrangements related to production and dispatch.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience: Prior experience in garment merchandising or a related field.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, including pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing.

- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

- Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Ability to track costs, analyze variances, and optimize processes.

- Communication & Coordination: Strong interpersonal skills for cross- functional team collaboration.
