Junior Fashion Merchandiser - Sourcing & Production

We are seeking an experiencedFashion Merchandiser Sourcing & Production to manage supplier identification, material procurement, and production coordination. The role involves working closely withweaver clusters, vendors, factories, and internal design teamsto ensure timely sampling, approvals, and bulk production.Fluent spoken Hindi is mandatoryfor effective communication with suppliers and artisan clusters across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboardfabric, trim, and accessory suppliers (fabrics, buttons, zippers, labels, packaging, etc.)
• Liaise withweaver clusters, loom units, artisan groups, vendors, and factories
• Negotiateprices, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms
• Prepare and managematerial and production cost sheets
• Procure all materials as per approved designs and specifications
• Plan and managesampling and bulk production timelines
• Create and maintainproduction and procurement trackers
• Coordinateproto, fit, and final samples and track approvals
• Ensure smooth transition fromsample approval to bulk production
• Monitor production progress and proactively resolve delays or quality issues
• Communicate specifications, timelines, and changes clearly inHindi and English

Requirements

• Diploma inFashion Technology, or Apparel Merchandising
• 2 - 3years of experience infashion merchandising, sourcing, or production
• Fluent spoken Hindi mandatory
• Working knowledge ofEnglish
• Strong understanding offabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes
• Proficiency inMS Excel / Google Sheets
• Strong negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills
