Junior Designer

Profile Summary:

Cond Nast is looking for a Designer with experience in multi platform design, visual strategy, typography, video and creative ideation. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational skills as well as a proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment across all platforms. Reporting to the Head of Editorial content youll be the most experienced in the team with an extensive network of local photographers and contributors.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing graphics and layouts for editorial content in print, video, social and digital platforms.
• Working closely with the Head of Editorial content and global creative team members to develop concepts and moodboards to create cohesive, unique visual stories.
• Assisting with developing design approaches for high-profile events, social media initiatives, and other brand campaigns.
• Making visual assets for newsletters, e-commerce, and marketing.
• Working with internal partners (production, product, etc.) to translate print layouts into digital editions.
• Assisting with commissioning illustrations and maintaining project schedules, as needed
• Building engaging internal and external presentations that maintain branding and design standards and adhere to strict deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant work experience in media or similar fields.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator and other relevant design software.
• A strong design portfolio and sophisticated aesthetic that reflects multi-platform experience and a strong foundation in typography.
• Thorough understanding of brand identity and ability to rigorously adhere to branding guidelines.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adhering to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Proven experience working on design projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of and interest in the fashion, photography, culture, entertainment, and beauty/wellness media landscape
