Junior SolidWorks CAD Designer

Experience: 0-2 Years (Freshers with internships/projects encouraged)

Focus: 3D Modeling, Airframe Drafting, Technical Documentation

Role Overview:

Entry-level role for a detail-oriented CAD designer to support our engineering team in rapid prototyping and design iteration. You will create precise 3D models and 2D drawings for UAV airframes, enclosures, and assemblies. Ideal for fresh graduates passionate about aerospace and defense projects.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling: Build parametric models of drone components using SolidWorks assemblies, parts, and surfacing tools.

Design Iteration: Modify existing models based on engineering feedback, perform basic interference checks, and update revision-controlled files.

Documentation Support: Assist in creating exploded views, sectionals, and assembly instructions for the manufacturing team.

Must-Have Skills:

SolidWorks proficiency (certification a big plus) who is able to handle assemblies with 50+ parts fluently.

Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design standards.

Differentiators (Highly Preferred):

Exposure to aerospace/drone projects (college capstone, industry internships).

Ability to generate 2D drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs for CNC and 3D printing.

Familiarity with mechanical packaging (component layout, basic thermal airflow simulation).ibs, spars, fuselage halves) using structural adhesives (epoxies).
