Junior Automation Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated Automation Testers to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will assist in developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web and API-based applications. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow in test automation and software quality assurance.

Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT or Similar field
• 12 years of experience in software testing or automation preferred
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman or similar)
• Basic understanding of programming/scripting (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts under senior team guidance
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing automation frameworks
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test documentation
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements
• Support CI/CD pipeline testing activities
