Role Overview

We are looking for a disciplined and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Accounts Department. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Accountant and assist in maintaining accurate financial records, verifying invoices, and ensuring proper documentation control.

This role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and structured working habits.

Key Responsibilities

• Tally & Accounting Entries
• Purchase, Sales, Journal, Contra, Payment & Receipt entries in Tally
• Ledger creation & maintenance
• Vendor and customer reconciliation
• Assist in monthly closing activities
• Maintain proper voucher documentation

Invoice & Rate Verification (Important)

• Verify purchase invoice rates with approved Purchase Orders
• Cross-check quantity, GST, and calculations
• Identify rate mismatches or discrepancies
• Report billing errors immediately
• Track pending debit notes & credit notes

Billing & Documentation

• Create tax invoices & proforma invoices
• Prepare debit notes and credit notes
• Coordinate for E-way bills
• Maintain proper filing (physical + digital)
• Maintain dispatch & invoice records

Vendor & Payment Coordination

• Maintain payment due tracker
• Prepare vendor aging report
• Coordinate with purchase team for bill clarifications
• Ensure proper TDS & GST classification (basic knowledge required)

Communication & Reporting

• Draft professional emails to vendors & customers
• Send payment reminders
• Report discrepancies to Senior Accountant
• MaintaiSkills Required
• Good knowledge of Tally Prime (Mandatory)
• Basic GST understanding
• Basic Excel knowledge (filters, simple formulas)
• Strong numerical accuracy
• Good written English communication
• Organized & disciplined working style
• High integrity & reliability
