Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the finance team in managing daily accounting operations within a fast-paced staffing/recruitment environment. The role involves handling invoicing, payroll coordination, vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries and ledger maintenance
  • Generate and manage client invoices based on staffing bill rates, timesheets, and contracts
  • Coordinate with recruitment/operations teams for timesheet validation and billing accuracy
  • Support payroll processing for contract employees and consultants
  • Track and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist in month-end closing activities
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF, ESI if applicable)
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports, MIS, and audit documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and payroll concepts (especially in staffing industry is a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and coordination skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or prior experience in staffing, recruitment, or consultancy firms
  • Exposure to contract staffing payroll and billing cycles
  • Knowledge of compliance related to contract employees
