Job Title - Junior Accountant E-Commerce (Amazon & Shopify)

About the Role

We are an e-commerce brand selling home textile products primarily through Amazon (US & other marketplaces) and Shopify . We are seeking astarter-level accountant who understandsthe basics of e-commerce accounting and can maintain accurate, reconciled books, ensuring they are ready for monthly closures.

This role is ideal for a junior accountant or a CA-intermediate/B.Com graduate seeking hands-on exposure to marketplace accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace & Bank Reconciliation

• Reconcile Amazon settlement reports with bank credits
• Track marketplace fees, refunds, chargebacks, reserves, and adjustments
• Maintain a weekly settlement reconciliation tracker

Sales, Fees & Refund Tracking

• Prepare weekly and monthly summaries of:
• Gross sales
• Refunds
• Net sales
• Marketplace fees
• Advertising spend
• Flag discrepancies or abnormal variations

Expense & Vendor Accounting

• Record vendor invoices, service bills, software expenses, and payments
• Maintain the payables tracker and payment status
• Support basic cost tracking for shipments and logistics

Inventory & Landed Cost Support (Basic)

• Maintain shipment-level cost breakup (FOB, freight, duty, other charges)
• Assist in updating internal costing sheets

Monthly Closing & CA Coordination

• Prepare clean ledgers and reconciliation files
• Share monthly data packs with CA for GST and compliance filings
• Support GSTR-1 / GSTR-3B working files (final filing handled by CA)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 13 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• Working knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots)
• Basic understanding of:
• Amazon settlements
• E-commerce fees & refunds
• Bank reconciliation
• GST fundamentals

Good to Have

Prior experience with Amazon / Shopify / Flipkart accounting

Understanding of import-export expenses or landed costing
