Jira Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, enterprise-level Atlassian Administrator to own and evolve our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem (Jira Software, Confluence, Service Management, and integrations). This is not a ticket-based support role. The ideal candidate will act as the internal platform owner, driving governance, automation, AI enablement, and enterprise-scale optimization aligned with business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the Atlassian Cloud roadmap across global teams.
• Design and enforce governance frameworks (workflows, permissions, custom fields, automation standards).
• Lead Cloud migrations, consolidations, and transformation initiatives.
• Prevent workflow sprawl and configuration drift while enabling team flexibility.
• Develop standardized dashboards and reporting for performance visibility and flow metrics.
• Automate administrative processes using native automation, APIs, scripting, and AI copilots.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with enterprise systems (SSO, Slack, BI tools, DevOps pipelines).
• Establish AI-ready infrastructure ensuring structured, compliant, and validated data sources.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, PMO, and leadership to align platform strategy with business objectives.
• Communicate changes effectively and influence stakeholders with confidence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Atlassian administration experience (Cloud preferred).
• Experience managing enterprise-scale, multi-project environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of Atlassian migrations or governance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and flow metrics (cycle time, lead time, WIP, velocity).
• Expertise in Jira Software, Confluence, and Service Management configuration.
• Hands-on experience with automation, API integrations, and AI enablement.
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical decisions into business value.
