Key Responsibilities

I. Technical Design & Production Liaison

CAD/CAM Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, or similar) to create accurate 3D models and production-ready files (STL/SLC) for prototyping and manufacturing.
Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed technical sheets, including measurements, weight calculations, materials specifications (metal purity, stone quantity, stone size, and cut), and construction instructions for the production team/master craftsmen.
Prototyping: Collaborate closely with the sampling department and karigars (craftsmen) to review and refine prototypes, ensuring design integrity, wearability, and successful translation from 3D model to physical piece.
Cost Control: Design within specific cost parameters, optimizing material usage (e.g., gold weight) without compromising aesthetic quality or structural integrity.

III. Market & Brand Alignment

Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor the luxury jewellery market, fashion industry, and competitive landscape to maintain a fresh and relevant design direction.
Design Presentation: Prepare compelling presentations for internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Leadership) to effectively pitch new collections and design concepts.
Brand Aesthetics: Ensure all designs reinforce and elevate the brand's core values, aesthetic signature, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience as a Jewellery Designer, preferably within a fine jewellery or luxury goods environment.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in generating concepts based on themes, moodboards
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, materials (gold, platinum, silver), and gemstone characteristics (4Cs, stone setting techniques).
Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating successful commercial designs and technical proficiency.
Education: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Jewellery Design, Gemology, or a related field.
Attributes: Exceptional creativity, meticulous attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
