About the Role:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Jewellery Merchandiser to drive the development, strategy, execution, and commercial success of our jewellery category, with a strong focus on lab-grown diamonds. The role will blend creativity, business acumen, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination to deliver a differentiated and high-performing product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising Leadership:
- Lead end-to-end merchandising functions including product selection, pricing, inventory flow, vendor management, and overall presentation of the jewellery assortment.
Strategic Planning:
- Build and execute a comprehensive merchandising strategy that aligns with Azas brand vision and evolving market trends in the lab-grown diamond space.
Product Development:
- Collaborate with vendors to ideate, conceptualize, and launch compelling new collections based on market research, trend insights, and brand positioning.
Assortment Planning:
- Finalize and manage store-wise product assortment plans ensuring the right depth, width, and balance of SKUs.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging opportunities, category white spaces, and areas of competitive differentiation.
Pricing & Commercials:
- Define pricing frameworks that optimize margins while ensuring strong value and competitive positioning.
Business Performance Monitoring:
- Track category performance, sell-through, inventory turnover, and profit contribution to guide data-backed business decisions.
Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Work closely with Sales, E-commerce, Retail, and Marketing teams to ensure unified brand messaging and enhance customer experience.
Customer Insights:
- Leverage market feedback and consumer behaviour insights to refine product mixes and elevate the retail and online journey.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Fashion, Business, Merchandising, or related disciplines; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of merchandising experience, ideally within the luxury, jewellery, or premium fashion sector.
- Proven success in driving category growth, managing assortments, and building commercially successful product lines.
- Strong analytical expertise and familiarity with merchandising tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities, with a collaborative approach to working across teams.
- A creative, trend-aware mindset with a strong understanding of consumer preferences and luxury market dynamics.
