5.    Key Responsibilities – 

Responsibilities
•    Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
•    Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
•    Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
•    Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills
•    Accounts Payables: The candidate must have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and be able to manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts payable department.
•    Finance Foundation: The candidate must have a solid foundation in finance, including knowledge of financial principles, practices, and applications.
•    General Ledger: The candidate must have experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
•    The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications would be considered an advantage.
Preferred Skills
•    Real Estate: Knowledge of real estate finance and accounting is a plus.
•    Environmental Accounting: Experience with environmental accounting principles and practices is beneficial.
•    Fixed Asset: Understanding of fixed asset accounting and management is desirable.
