MustHave Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

49 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent), with substantial hands-on experience in Spring Boot (2.0+) and Java 17.
Strong AWS experience in deploying and operating backend services (hands-on with core services such as EC2/ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM).
Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and shell tooling for build, troubleshooting, and runtime operations.

Practical experience with both:

Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
Non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra)
Candidate must have used at least one RDBMS and one NoSQL DB in real projects.
Strong understanding of REST API design, microservices patterns, error handling, resiliency (e.g., circuit breakers, retries), and event-driven fundamentals.
Solid testing discipline (JUnit/Mockito/Test containers or equivalents) and familiarity with observability (logs/metrics/tracing).
Experience with Git and a modern CI/CD toolchain (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
Effective communicator: able to collaborate in agile teams and write clean, maintainable code.

GoodtoHave (Preferred)

Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript and React (building simple UIs or admin consoles).
Messaging/Streaming: Kafka/Kinesis/SQS/SNS.
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK.
Kubernetes (EKS) and service mesh (e.g., Istio) fundamentals.
Security/Compliance: OWASP, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT; secrets rotation.
Data & Caching: Redis/ElastiCache, connection pooling, query tuning.
Build Tools: Maven/Gradle expertise and multi-module project experience.
Domain knowledge: E-commerce, order management, inventory, payments, or digital experiences.
